Exciting event scores a big win

Cabinets & Closets 2016 surprised even its organizers, coming up roses in the City of Roses in March for the
12th annual Conference & Expo.
The blockbuster three-day event in Pasadena, California
scored radical increases in size and attendance during its
March 22 – 24 run.
Show attendance shot up 24 percent compared to Cabinets &
Closets Expo 2015 in Chicago. And total square footage
for the Southern California event, held at the Pasadena
Convention Center, increased by 28 percent, including 30
Highlights included jam-packed conference sessions on
March 22 with tracks on closet design, finishing and custom
cabinets. The Association of Closet & Storage Professionals,
the Cabinet Makers Association and the AWFI finishing insti-
tute partnered with Woodworking Network in developing and
delivering the comprehensive conference program.
Powerful keynotes each day played to a full house, with John
McDonald, founder of Semihandmade, Lisa Adams, CEO of
LA Closet Design, and Lindsey Thudin, Houzz western region
marketing manager, wowing the crowds.
Two bus loads of more than 70 show goers attended the
Stiles Machinery sponsored tour of K&Z Cabinet Company,
located in Ontario, California.
The Expo on March 23-24 featured a dynamic mix of
cabinet and woodworking machinery, CAD/CAM software,
cabinet and closets hardware, wood components, information-
al presentations and much more.
Also, for the first time a Woodworking Collectives Meet-up
gathered at the show. They discussed the unique needs and
challenges faced in running cooperative woodshops sharing
