My clients asked me to help them create a reach-in closet
with the capacity to handle their extremely large collection of
his and her dress shoes. The closet also had to serve as a dresser for each of them. Her section had to include sliding jewelry
drawer trays as well. So I incorporated a sliding shoe cabinet
system to maximize the amount of shoes I could ;t within the
designated space. We were able to increase by half additionally,
the amount of shoes we could house along with the rest of the
drawers and shelving.
This project was a part of a large master bedroom and
bathroom renovation. We were able to add this wall unit to
an unused area in the bedroom. By doing this, our client was
able to move her clothing and other items to the larger walk-in
closet, while her husband had enough space to store all of his
folded, hanging and drawer items. The project installation took
place over two days at our client’s house in Highland Park,
Illinois. The doors, drawers and crown were made by hand at
our shop and all of the panels and shelves were made on our
Biesse nested-based CNC router.
