Today, closet and home organization professionals are involved in
much more than bedroom closets. Their jobs are increasingly more
complex and move into all rooms of a home, including the garage.
One area showing significant growth is the home office. According to Global WorkplaceAnalytics.com data, regular work-at-home
among the non-self-employed population, has grown by 103 percent since 2005 and 6. 5 percent in 2014. Approximately 3. 7 million
employees ( 2. 5 percent of the workforce) now work from home at
least half the time.
Millennials entering the workforce are a significant part of this
trend, as well as baby boomers staying in the workplace longer and
choosing to work from home. Home organization professionals
are answering the need for home offices and multiple use rooms
with flexible desking and storage solutions like Murphy beds and
Garages are also demanding the attention of the home organization professional. The garage, often stated as the biggest room in
